Our nationally certified nursing instructors provide comprehensive, hands-on education designed to empower healthcare professionals with this vital skill. Unlike standard continuing education courses or self-directed learning, we specialize in immersive, patient-centered training that combines clinical expertise with compassion.

At Fundamental Foot Care Training, we provide specialized education designed to address a critical gap in most nursing programs—comprehensive, hands-on training in preventative foot care. Whether you're an LPN, RN, APRN, NP or DNP our courses empower you with the clinical skills and confidence needed to deliver high-quality care to seniors, diabetic patients, and other vulnerable populations.
Unlike typical nursing CEU courses, our training includes 32+ hours of supervised, hands-on experience with real patients. You’ll work in small groups (limited to six nurses per session), gaining individualized guidance from nationally certified foot care nurses who combine clinical excellence with a patient-centered approach.
Our program is ideal for nurses seeking professional growth, better work-life balance, or a path toward entrepreneurship. Along with advanced clinical skills, we offer business training for nurses looking to integrate foot care into their current practice or start their own service.
Every training session is designed to be warm, welcoming, and supportive. We believe in removing the intimidation from learning a new skill and creating an environment where every question is valued. You’ll leave not only with new credential, but also with a sense of purpose and belonging in our growing community of foot care nurses.
“The foot care training I received from Heather Fogg was exceptional. As a leading expert in the field, Heather is extremely knowledgeable and skillful in providing foot care.
The variety of settings and patients I experienced during training provided me with an excellent foundation. I greatly appreciate the flexibility in scheduling, the one-on-one instruction, and especially the ongoing support and encouragement.
Highly recommend this training program! 10/10"

Help prevent falls, wounds, and hospitalizations for seniors and vulnerable patients. This skill saves lives.
Foot care is one of the most ignored areas in healthcare, and patients are paying the price. Every year, preventable foot issues lead to painful wounds, infections, hospitalizations, and amputations, especially among seniors and people with diabetes. These aren’t rare cases—they happen every day in nursing homes, hospitals, and homes across the country. Yet most nurses receive little to no training in this vital area of care. The result? Missed warning signs. Unnecessary suffering. Lost mobility. Loss of independence.
Specialized foot care is not optional; it’s essential preventative care. And nurses trained in it are on the front lines of saving limbs, restoring dignity, and protecting independence. The system won’t fix this gap on its own. But you can.
Remember why you became a nurse? The desire to help others, make a difference, and use your skills in meaningful ways? For many of us, those foundational motivations get buried under charting requirements, staffing shortages, and institutional constraints.
Specialized foot care nursing offers a return to nursing's core purpose: providing compassionate, preventative care that truly impacts quality of life. Our graduates consistently report a renewed sense of purpose and professional satisfaction after transitioning to this specialty.
