Job Title: Part-Time Foot Care Nurses (For Bangor and Portland areas)

20-30 hours per week 


Job Description:

Are you an outgoing, kind individual with a passion for providing exceptional patient care? We are seeking a dedicated Foot Care Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients by providing specialized foot care services. We will train the right person.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive foot care      assessments and skilled foot care to high-risk patients (primarily older adults)
  • Educate patients on proper foot care techniques and preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare      professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Take initiative in identifying and addressing patient concerns.
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming      environment for patients.
  • Work in a variety of settings (i.e., clinic, private homes, hospitals, congregate living facilities).


Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid, unencumbered Maine nursing license.
  • Specialized training or certification in foot care is preferred. (We are willing to train the right person.)
  • BSL certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good sense of humor and the ability to make patients feel at ease.
  • A professional demeanor and commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work with electronic medical records on Smartphone, laptop, iPad, etc.
  • Able to walk, stand, bend, squat, sit on low stools/floor while working
  • Manual dexterity to pinch, grasp and manipulate tools
  • Ability to see and hear, with or without the use of assistive devices (i.e., glasses/contact, hearing aids)
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds and carry equipment into homes/hospitals/clinical sites
  • Recent acute hospital bedside      experience preferred (within past 3 years)


Working conditions:

· Nurses may be working in conditions where lighting, acoustics, air quality and temperature are unpredictable

· This job brings nurses face-to-face with clients and may require the use of PPE to prevent or mitigate exposure to health conditions.

· Will be working independently

· Must use own vehicle for transportation
